Tetsuo Miura was born in Tokyo in 1959. He is known for his highly realistic, detailed character designs in the manga series "Garo", which has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since 1987. At the age of forty-six, he began the series Garo: Makai no Hana ("Garo: Demon Capital") in 2002, which has since been published in thirty-eight volumes. Garo is known for its dark and realistic depiction of demons and supernatural beings
